A place your child can learn biblical truths, build Christian relationships and grow in faith

The FAITHKIDS team partners with parents to guide children (ages birth-5th grade) into a deeper relationship with Christ and a greater love for others. We are deeply committed to communicating the truth of God’s love in an engaging and age-appropriate way and to encourage children to take steps toward becoming life-long followers of Jesus.

Nursery/Toddler Group (birth – age 2)

At all services, little ones experience the love of God through attentive loving caregivers. A large-screen HDTV is available in our nursery for mothers to feed their nursing infants in privacy.

Available at all services year round.

Elementary (grades K-5)

All services offer large and small group experiences for children. During large group time, students experience a Bible story presentation and participate in music and prayer time. Lessons learned are reinforced in a small group time with peers.

(Please note: Faith Kids Elementary service is not available during the Saturday 5pm service from June 24-Sept 3.)

Preschool (ages 2-5)

Beginning at age 2, the message of God’s love is presented in language children understand and reinforced with age-appropriate activities at all services including large and small group experiences.

Available at all services year round.

A parent room

is available for parents to sit with small children and still observe the Worship Center in a quiet environment.

We have many events throughout the year developed especially for children. Check out the events page to get more information on any upcoming event.

We know you have many questions before you even arrive at church. If you have any questions after reading our FAQ, please contact Children’s Ministry Director, Vickie Hampton.

Faith Community Church has several entrances. Where is the best access with parking for Children’s Ministry?

The FAITHKIDS lobby is located at the very back of the building, parallel to Route 135. If you park in the large back parking lot, the FAITHKIDS entrance will be the first entrance you approach (located on the right side of the building as you face the back of the church).

How do I know where to take my child?

If you enter through the main entrance of our church, you will find friendly greeters who will bring you to the FAITHKIDS lobby.

Alternately, if you park in the back parking lot, the FAITHKIDS entrance will be the first entrance you approach (located on the right side of the building as you face the back of the church). Once you are in the FAITHKIDS lobby, one of our helpful team members will greet you and your children and take you to the correct rooms.

My children are different ages. Can they be placed in the same room? And if my child brings a friend, can they be together in the same room?

Twins or friends who are the same age will be placed in the same rooms unless the parent/guardian instructs differently. Siblings and friends who are a different age or in different grades will be placed in the appropriate group for their respective ages/grades. Our volunteers and curriculum are carefully chosen with the needs of each age group in mind. We place children in the class most appropriate to their age/developmental level. In addition to providing the most age-appropriate instruction, it also encourages the development of friendships.

How old does my child have to be to participate in FAITHKIDS?

On Sunday mornings, we offer classes for all kids – babies through the 5th grade. There is no charge to attend FAITHKIDS. Children are given the opportunity to contribute an offering for a missionary, but it is strictly voluntary.

Is there a charge to participate?

There is no charge for FAITHKIDS.

What if my child is ill?

For the health of all, we ask that children and adults with any sign of infectious disease in the past 24 hours (fever, rash, green discharge, vomiting, diarrhea) not attend FAITHKIDS.

How do I know my child is safe?

All adult staff, paid and volunteer, involved in any way with children are required to complete the screening process which includes 2 references and a background check. The safety guidelines and screening application are also available on our website.

My child has special needs. Do you have a program for them?

We welcome children with special needs. If your child has significant special needs, please share the details with a member of the FAITHKIDS staff regarding what is needed to ensure that your child has a good experience.

What happens if my child needs me during the service?

Each guest child receives a security number which will be displayed in the worship center should your child need you for any reason.
